Tonight, Fargo becomes famous again. Seventeen years after the premiere of “Fargo,” FX is airing its own television series of the same name.
FX’s version of “Fargo” is a dark-comedy crime series based on the 1996 film.
According to the show’s website, while the series is an adaptation of the film, it will feature an all-new story and follow a “new case and new characters, all entrenched in the trademark humor, murder and
“Minnesota nice” that made the film an enduring classic.”
Taking place in Fargo is not the only reason the series will hit close to home for Fargoians. The series will feature North Dakota native and MSUM alumnus Tom Musgrave.
Musgrave will be seen alongside Oscar winner Billy Bob Thornton (“Sling Blade”) and Emmy nominee Martin Freeman (“Sherlock”), who is also known for his performances in “The Hobbit.”
Tonight, to honor the premiere, the Fargo Theatre will be hosting a party with Musgrave as a special guest. The 8 p.m. event will be free to the public, but is first come, first serve. After the screening of the premiere, there will be an opportunity for a Q and A with the star. The Fargo Theatre will be providing usual consessions throughout the evening as well.
Good post. I learn something totally new and
challenging on blogs I stumbleupon everyday. It’s always useful to read through articles from other writers and use a little something from other
sites.
